2017 High Point Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley

About High Point

High Point Winery became the sister label of Vincent Arroyo Family Winery in 2010. Looking to bottle another white, founders Matthew and Adrian Moye, came across some amazing Sauvignon Blanc in the Oak Knoll District in the Napa Valley. Under their Arroyo label, the wines are estate. Hoping to be able to explore things they did not grow, they began with High Point Sauvignon Blanc. Their hope is to expand the brand with other unique varietals. The High Point name from a point on a topo map that lies high above the town of Calistoga. At High Point, Matt, Adrian and their family are devoted to producing outstanding wines inspired by the natural elements that surround them.

Winemaker’s Notes

The 2017 High Point Sauvignon offers a wonderful combination of crispness and complexity. The fresh aromas of tropical fruit, guava, and lemon zest give the wine a beautiful bouquet. The citric flavors give good acidity. Add to that the slight mineral aspects and you get a very nice balanced wine. A creamy lemonesque style finish with a slight hint of oak rounds out this wine quite nicely.
